A question was asked of me a few weeks ago. "Can playing one sport affect my speed in another sport?"
The answer is YES, and depending on your desired outcome, it can affect your play in a positive or negative manner.
Each sport and each position has a different set of motor qualities required to be successful. Woven within these sport demands are various ground contact times involved in sprinting, jumping and changing directions.
So, playing linebacker for your football team can slow you up playing middie for your lacrosse team.
Train the qualities needed for your game!
