RAM TUFF!!

I just wanted to "throw" some props out to the young men of the Pine Richland boys lacrosse team. I'm working with some of the players two nights a week. It's anything but a conventional "conditioning" program...........go ahead and ask them.
The focus is about the N.O.W. and "Long Term Development"............ not a quick fix.

-kettlebells
-med balls
-ground contact drills and much, much more!

I've started to video the sessions and will keep everyone aware of the "shows" when they are up.

Interested?

Sport Speed

A question was asked of me a few weeks ago. "Can playing one sport affect my speed in another sport?"

The answer is YES, and depending on your desired outcome, it can affect your play in a positive or negative manner.
Each sport and each position has a different set of motor qualities required to be successful. Woven within these sport demands are various ground contact times involved in sprinting, jumping and changing directions.

So, playing linebacker for your football team can slow you up playing middie for your lacrosse team.

Train the qualities needed for your game!

Jack-In-The-Box

Well, as the football season comes to an end, the off-season "training" programs will be distributed to the players in preparation for next year.

So, make way for the Jack-In-The-Box! The gridiron player locked inside the cage for training the squat, bench press and deadlift.

Players need to step back and look at their sport. Now tell me..........is it played inside a box?

-how many joints are involved during your game?
-how fast do you need to be for your game?
-how many planes of motion are used during your game?

The list can go on and on.

Train the "movements" not the muscles!
